Litter Busting, Summer Programme - Chapter 4
Another successful litterpick today covering the whole Little Burton area. Eleven volunteers joined staff and councillors.
On the whole, the amount of litter was not high, until the team got to Little Burton Lake and then when we arrived at the parade of shops. The car park and the area surrounding the bench facing the One Stop quickly filled the ten rubbish bags in use.
Once again, we had a good showing of volunteers from the Holiday Inn and our regular Daisy came all the way from the top end of Kennington.
We were delighted to get a new ‘recruit’ from Little Burton who joined in spontaneously. Two or three others whom we met on our travels told us they would like to join us next Wednesday when we will be setting out from Bockhanger Shops on Bybrook Road.
We look forward to seeing them at 9.45 Wednesday 20th August.
