Litter Busting, Summer Programme - Chapter 5
Not such a big team of volunteers this week but a lot of rubbish to be collected. Our regulars split up and covered the Bockhanger shops before heading off round Grasmere Road, The Pasture and Beecholme Drive, coming back along Bybrook Road. As well as many bottles, cans and cigarette ends, we were surprised to come across broken mirror shards right next to the small play area behind the flats. Before we finished, we saw ABC collecting the fly-tipped mattress and other rubbish from near the flats.
Next Wednesday the final weekly litter pick of this summer programme starts from the Spearpoint Pavilion at The Ridge from 9.45-11.00.
We hope to see many of you there.
We shall be announcing a monthly programme to run through the autumn.
Some of these may be organised jointly with our neighbouring parishes.
