Eat Well Spend Less Roadshow comes to Kennington - Thursday 29 February from 10am to 2pm.  
 
If you need extra support as a result of the cost of living then come along to our Eat Well Spend Less roadshow on Thursday 29 February from 10am to 2pm at St Mary's Community Centre, Rylands Road, Kennington TN24 9LL. 
 
The event brings together a range of partner organisations including frontline NHS staff and Ashford Borough Council (ABC) officers, outreach organisations and charities, in one easy-to-access place. 
 
It's free to attend, simply pop along for all this and more: 
 
Guidance on shopping, preparing and cooking healthy, nutritious meals 
Information on where and how to access local food banks along with community venues who offer free, pay as you feel or very reasonably priced meals in a social setting 
Recipe bags with all ingredients to make a recipe along with instructions – the recipes on offer will be pizza and chickpea burgers. 
Fare Share Kent Family Food Bank offering food items including fresh fruit and vegetables 
The Hygiene Bank will be providing hygiene items 
Safeguarding and safer streets – information and advice 
Welfare Intervention Officer – help and advice on financial/benefit support – ABC 
Tenancy Engagement Officer – help and advice – ABC 
Homeless Prevention Officer – help and advice – ABC 
NHS Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust with the bus: offering free health check / MOT’S. Advice and pathways into One You services including information on the extensive offer at the One You Shop, Park Mall, Ashford 
Health Inequalities Care Coordinator Mid Kent PCN – information on cancer screening specifically breast, bowel and cervical screening 
Wellbeing Matters Plus and Social Prescribing and Young Carers– offering and developing community-based opportunities for individuals aged 55 plus or adults with complex health needs – Imago 
Connect Well Community Navigators (SEK) – advice and information 
Sk8side – young person’s support and sports connect - information of their extensive offer 
Mind and Body at We Are With You – mental health for young people – therapist 
Ashford Family Hubs – sharing their offer and services plus activities for children at the event 
South East Water – advice on saving water and cost 
Porchlight representatives – gaining feedback for improvement from young people regarding their mental health along with information about other services within Porchlight 
Kent Fire & Rescue Services – fire safety - save safely and home safety visits

Project Officer Prevention Team – Project Uplift breast cancer screening awareness 
Metro Kent Young People Sexual Health – information and advice 
Food Friends – volunteer food sharing programme in Ashford 
Bright City Church - Food Bank, Vinnies Diner and Lite Bites lunch and chat 
CAP Life Skills – Willesborough Baptist Church – information, advice and how to attend 
Hi Kent Lip Reading – sound support for people living with any aspect of hearing loss from getting an aid, lipreading, coping with tinnitus to hearing the television and more 
Department for Works and Pension / Job Centre – advice and information 
Citizen Advice project officer – advice and information on Kent Money Advice Hub Project, Perinatal Money and mental health projects 
Ashford Mediation Service – advice and information on this free service to Ashford residents 
KOOTH - mental health service – information and advice on offer for young people 11-25
