The Pasture - Application to register land as a village green

In September 2020 Kennington Community Council applied to Kent County Council to have an area of open space at The Pasture registered as a Town Green. 

 

Registration would recognise that this land has been used as of right by residents for more than twenty years, for “lawful sports and pastimes”, ensuring that this would remain open space for all residents for all time. 

 

The application will be heard at a meeting of Kent County Council’s Regulation Committee Member Panel this Wednesday, 20th September 2023, starting at 10.00 am. https://democracy.kent.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?MId=9383&x=1& 

 

Councillors from your Community Council will be attending and speaking at the meeting to continue to make the case that this open space should be protected for future generations through registration as a Town Green.
